The very best tomato sauce I've ever had, anywhere! (and I've lived "up North" in areas that are a lot more "old country ethnic" than NC. :-) ) I took my mother to La Foresta, after raving about how good it was. She loved it, and that is really saying something! (Mom learned to cook sauce from her aunt who was born and raised in Rome.) La Foresta is so good, I've been ruined for other Italian restaurants, and nearly ruined for home cooked Italian.
