Signed up for personal training lessons telling the salesman that i was going to have tests done for a bad heart valve and may have to cancel the lessons. He assured me to just bring in a Dr's note if there is a problem and LA Fitness would immediately cancel the personal training lessons. Sure enough i needed a stent but in my valve and was told not to do heavy lifting for the future. In April, 2022, my wife joined LA Fitness in ***********, *******. During her enrollment, she was sold a one-year personal fitness program which included 3 one half hour training sessions per month. She told the salesman that it was imperative that she completed this in one year as we were scheduled to move out of the area. The salesperson told her that would not be a problem, of course. I have LA Fitness sub brand esporta club membership, tried to cancel my membership but told by customer service that I have to stop by local club to cancel the membership, but all my local clubs rebranded into LA fitness which can review my profile but can not cancel my membership. Also told by customer service I can download a cancel form and send it to the corporate, may take days to cancel. I would be careful when signing up for anything at this branch. When I was opening my account, I was told I would be paying first month and last month and that I could cancel my account at anytime or freeze it. I also added personal training to my account and was told I could freeze it as well. I called LA Fitness on 6/27 to freeze my account so I wouldn't have to be charged for July. I got charged $240 fee for personal trainer and the $10 dollar to feeeze the account. I then called to ask why now in August, i'm still gettin... read more
No customer service number, they have one but the call fails! You can't go into the facility to cancel you have to print a page out and mail it in. They don't even track your cancellation as this will be my 6th time in a year to cancel an account. I tried to contact corporate email and heard nothing back for months! DO NOT SIGN UP
Zero transparency. My girlfriend did a unauthorized charged for pilates at La fitness. So I cancelled the membership and was told I would have to pay $100s cancellation fee and the guy hangs up. Extremely unprofessional skip a few weeks later theres a bill fot ******? Wheres the transparency? Plus they over charge for a run down gym with broken equipment/mold/regular fights/ and active shootings at this location. The whole process of leaving this gym is a whole headache for no reason.
This location needs new employees from the manager on down. They never are open on time and members are always waiting outside 5, 10, and even 30 minutes after the club should be open. As a paying member I expect to be able to come to the gym when they are open and use the facility. The Operations Manager, *****, says he has made changes and addressed the issue but clearly it is still happening. Instead of dropping names, I will call them "D" and "C."I was swayed into agreeing to Personal Training by "D" at a new CA location. I didn't need the personal training (I already lift and maintain my protein intake) and wanted to keep my membership, but cancel the training (which charged an additional $260 monthly). I asked to cancel the personal training charges so "D" had me speak with "C.""C" (a personal trainer there) assured me in JULY that my training charges would stop. Would rate this 0 out of 10 but wont let me. This place is a complete scam. Be careful when signing up for anything at this branch. I signed up for a membership and was spoken to about personal training. They should be the month charge and sessions. I informed them I could not afford that price and i was told they could give me the month for discounted price to try. I agreed to give it a shot. NEVER WAS TOLD IT WAS 12 MONTH CONTRACT.
