They might as well be scam artist. It's 2023. The fact that you need to have an in person meeting , or mail in a letter to cancel a membership is flat out egregious. I sent in my cancelation letter in March. I even requested a new card from my bank just in case. The staff (not all, but 97% of them) are the worst people at the gym, they are rude, disrespectful, they want to be friends with the members even if the members dont want to have interaction with them, they start harrasing the members. Worst experience ever !!! Buyer beware...if you sign up, LA Fitness will make you jump through a lot of hoops to cancel your membership, such as mailing your cancellation request certified ** mail (just in case they forget to process the first one or it gets lost in the mail) or walking into a physical branch. Even then, your membership will run another month or so cause you pay for it when you sign up. People are a bunch of thiefs they charge me for service that was never giving to me and now they do not want to credit my account the manager for the LA Fitness from Hunters Creek his name is ****** very unethical and a thief. He knows that I did not get those services and he charge me a fee of $700 dollars. I confronted the guy for taking the money and not crediting the money back. So far so good. The one annoying part is that I have to ask 1 month ahead of time to put a hold on my subscription and pay money to secure it. This is not always evident.

LA Fitness delays the cancelation and takes the month in advance payment you made at the start of your membership. How this company can maintain an A rating from BBB amazes me. I had to cancel my credit card so that LA Fitness could not keep charging me. This type of practice needs to be addressed.
