Stay away from LA Fitness. I canceled my membership in person, and the staff assured me that everything was canceled and that I would not be charged again. But I continued to get charged every month, and my membership still showed as active.
All the equipments are so dirty and rusty, never cleaned for. Everything is so messed up, I always have a hard time finding matching dumbbells, and the machines are often broken with a slip of paper saying they’ll repair on it but then it’s only temporary and will break down soon again. I really hope they have proper replacement and management of this place, it’s really unmatched with Irvine’s standard. Everyone says he's the manager (But just a high schooler student) Everyone promises he'll give you a discount. Everyone refuses to honor the price. Everyone claims he resigned when you confront them. Everyone ends up saying they can't help you. Great gym, terrible management.
Excellent selection of equipment. Squat and deadlift platforms usually available. Staff is friendly. Specific call out to the cleaning guy who is professional and polite while working under impossible conditions. The downsides are seriously deferred maintenance in locker room and the culture of the patrons is akin to a preschool.
