I went in to register at LA Fitness and the receptionist was unhelpful and dismissive. Instead of assisting us, she just told us to “sit there” without any explanation. Very unprofessional first impression!!!
This is my home gym because it is conveniently located. Great gym, with a variety of equipment. I think the machines and facility could use an upgrade overall. Some of the equipment show signs of wear and tear and feel outdated. But these are minor things that don’t really take away from my experience. As long as I’m able to come and work out in peace, I’m happy. I like the Zumba classes. There is one teacher named Ritu who is amazing! For the amount of money I spend on my membership every month, I expect the facilities—especially the showers—to be kept clean. Unfortunately, that hasn’t been the case. The shower floors are often dirty, with hair, soap scum, and grime left behind, and it’s clear they aren’t cleaned regularly. It makes using them uncomfortable and unhygienic, which is the last thing you want after a workout. When you’re paying a premium, basic cleanliness should never be an issue.
