Great pastries, extraordinary fruit-cakes (!!!) best bread in town, fine organic tea, good coffe - to go or just take seat, enjoy the music, read the SF Cronicle, accompanied by delicious croissants or buns. Don´t miss the shop at Piedmont Ave!
RecommendedLa Farine is the Best French bakery in Bay Area (yes including Bouchon). Authentic, modest and skillful. Surprisingly affordable. Forget about those fancy American cupcake “bakeries” who has way too much sugar, too little cocoa and even less skills. Many similar “gourmet American bakeries” ask for $50-$70+ for a cake while La Farine’s is $38.
