The La Dora staff really cares about their residents. Everyone you meet there is kind, and they go out of their way to ensure the maximum quality of life for the residents. My mother requires trips to a specialist once a month. La Dora takes her. When my dad was diagnosed with cancer and was hospitalized for six weeks getting treatment, La Dora took her to the hospital to visit him regularly. If I could provide a negative review, believe me, I would. The building is in poor state. The wall baseboards are damaged (a lot of cracks), the room and the room closet were infested of roaches and when reported, the staff chose to not take care of it until three days later. The roach I initially discovered, and the nurse and I tried to hunt down was not the roach that I stomped that crawled from the other side of the room. This is Caren Phillips posting again about LaDora . My dad just finished a 30 day rehab stay. Google wouldn’t let me post again so soon after my last review of my mom’s stay. We can honestly give LaDora another 5 star rating. My dad liked the food. Cleaned his plate for most meals. Once again, all areas shined for their personal service. My father lived there 5 years before he passed. They were a light during a dark time for our family. The staff loves big on all their patients. I never worried about him during his stay. When he was placed on hospice they ensured we had a private room to spend our last days as a family with him. I will never forget the love extended to us.
