We love La Dona. Where did they go? Temporary or permanent closure?! Please come back!
Food was excellent and presented beautifully! I would recommend getting your food To Go in the summer though. There’s no air conditioning so eating in was kinda uncomfortable, and when we were there it had a mothbally-smell, likely due to the age of the building. Will definitely go back though!
Overall an excellent experience. Can tell that they cared about their food and culture! Great service and cute restaurant space. All the dishes were beautiful AND delicious. They do not serve alcohol but it was not missed. They do serve tamales everyday now. The pozole and chicken mole specials were fantastic. The queso fundido with chorizo was also a hit! Highly recommend.

We stopped at La Doña Cocina for a late dinner while driving from FL to MA, and I’m so glad we did. We were the only ones there but the place still had such a fun, lively vibe. The staff made us feel like family — honestly felt like we were eating dinner at their house. The homemade salsas were incredible and everything we ate was delicious.
