Shrimp enchiladas were fantastic. Lots of shrimp. Salmon was great too. Staff very helpful with choosing entrees.
La Cueva Cafe is one of those little Taos gems you’re glad you found. The food is fresh, full of flavor, and has that authentic New Mexican taste that keeps you thinking about it after you leave. The chicken mole fajitas were phenomenal! The setting is small, cozy, and full of character, with a great patio that makes the experience even better. You can tell this is a family-owned place with a lot of pride behind what they serve. If you’re in Taos, La Cueva is absolutely worth a stop!
Chilli Rellenos one was fine other stringy and inedible. Advised waitress it was too tough to eat, and she offered to bring a sharper knife At that point, I advised her I couldn’t even eat it. The second waitress came and said we never know how they are going to turn out. Instead of offering to comp the dinner when we were both finished, she said well I could replace it with something. Shrimp enchiladas had little pieces of shrimp and not very good. Overall we would never return.
