I really, really wanted to love La Crosse Bierhaus. It has a terrific downtown location, an inviting German beer-hall atmosphere, and nearly everything required to create a memorable evening. Unfortunately, although parts of our visit were genuinely enjoyable, the overall experience never quite fulfilled that considerable promise. Send out some charcoal schnitzel. It was pretty inedible. My pork was almost charcoal but wasnt bitter burnt yet. The sides and everything else was fine.
Very dead in a Sat night. No Hefe on tap. Not sure how they are afloat
For what we paid definitely not worth the price. The food was very subpar. It was lukewarm, salty and all around a general let down. I wasn't expecting a authentic German but I wouldn't eat this quality of food in any restaurant. I didn't want to make a fuss in the restaurant so I regretfully didn't say anything but I hope this review helps the restaurant and prospective customers
