Mariscos La Costa features a delightful menu of Mexican treats including dollar tacos, as well as tostadas and burritos. They also place a special emphasis on seafood, and you can even get ceviche and fresh oysters on the half-shell here. Located in the Fruitvale area of Oakland (which, by the way, has no shortage of Mexican restaurants), Mariscos La Costa is a true gem.

This is by far the best Mexican restaurant in Oakland. It is as cheap and as quick as any taco truck in the area, serves great tasting food and provides covered seating for its customers. It is my second favorite East Bay restaurant behind the family owned La Pinata(s).

Best Burrito in Oakland! – This place is outdoors, and the entire menu is in Spanish. They have awesome burritos, cockatels, tacos, etc. Great on a warm day. On colder days, they do try to enclose it in plastic sheeting, but it is still a little cold. The vendors that come through don't even bother me. It just makes it feel a little more like I'm in Mexico.
