When the café 1st opened, I was excited (retired Chef from Boston) to try some sweets. I spoke a gent who was the owner, who I asked are they fresh, as I gravitated a banana muffin or cake, towards a glass casing filled w/sweets. He informed me that they were fresh and can be stored in the display for 3 months. I went to gift it to the Chef at his restaurant on Main St (a close friend of mine) and he declined as the cake looked aged. Even the prep lady declined. I think it's a cultural thing.
