New ownership opposite of the service we would expect and appreciate form Richard. NO more Tinkerbell, and no more comfortable feeling when walking in. Prices have change and when an owner is present and doesn't want to do an inspection for a waiting customer, its time to move on

I have been taking my vehicles to La Car Porte for over 10 years and would highly recommend them to anyone looking for an honest mechanic shop. I have never had a bad experience with any of their work. If you need to leave your vehicle overnight they enven have a company car and will take you to your home and pick you up when the repairs are completed. Don't think I would reccommend this place – I was recently visiting La Porte from out of town when my truck broke down; I had it towed to this shop as I didn't know any local repair shops. Turns out I needed a radiator, belt and tensioners. I felt the price to be a bit high, but as I was stranded I also felt I had no recourse. The vehicle was completed the same day, but something told me it was not fixed properly. So I drove it around town for a while before parking it. THESE GUYS ARE GREAT – I HAVE FOUND IN MY VISITING THIS PLASE THAT THE CUSTOMER SERVICE IS GREAT. I HAVE THEM DO ALL OF THE SERVICING OF MY FAMILIES CARS, AND I TELL ALL MY CO WORKERS TO GO THERE. I HAVE NEVER HAD A BAD EXPIERIANCE WITH LA CAR PORTE. WE HAVE 4 CARS AND THEY WORK ON ALL OF THEM. THEY ARE GREAT. GO IN AND HAVE A SIT DOWN WITH THE GUYS AT LA CAR PORTE AND THEY WILL EASE YOUR MIND.

HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE – First of all I didnt do my research before I went here. This place is NOT BBB accredited. It seems as if the honest reviews are really bad and the dishonest reviews are to good to be true. The owner is probably writing his own reviews, and I say this for a couple reasons 1-some of the reviews I have found are from user Richards..(the owners name is Richard), 2- after what I experienced I just find the good reviews unbelievable. Glad I found them – I don't feel like I am being ripped off when I go here. I have 2 vehicles, and older pick up and a new car. They service both. When I bring a car to them they check it out, make an estimate and then explain it all to me. They have never tried to scare me into a repair like some places will do. The work has always been excellent and done on time. The price is not the cheapest, but I don't want cheap, I want right! They are fair. I will keep using them and tell my friends
