La Camarilla Racquet Fitness is A RIP-OFF! This place is such a rip-off! It costs so much to join when there are other gyms in the area with cheaper rates! It is dirty and filthy and the worse equipment and staff in the valley! DON'T JOIN!
Thumbs up I've been a member of La Camarilla for a couple of years now and I've enjoyed it from the beginning. It's the first club I've been a member of where I'm not looking around at other clubs to switch to. From the start they were very friendly, both staff and members. I like that the group classes are no extra charge, and they are always bringing in new programs, like tai-chi, yin yoga, etc. They have the most active tennis program I've seen in the entire valley. family friendly This place is the most family friendly gym in all of Arizona. It is a little old and run down however all the machines work and everyone there is from the same neighborhood so you are bound to see some familiar faces
Great Family Club This is the best club we've ever belonged to. We joined here after moving to Arizona 15 years ago. My kids grew up at this club and my wife and I have worked out there and played tennis and racquetball there. They have the friendliest, most professional staff. Just Plain Jane I think that la Camarilla is an alright gym. I went with a friend a while back, who had a membership. I decided not to get a membership here because I really didn't think they had any "outstanding" programs. They have a few yoga classes, but they are all at bad times. Also, they have a kinda dinky, little pool. I was really disapointed becasue it is about $100 or more a month. I have seen many nicer gyms. OK Place This is a huge fitness club located on Shea Blvd. The way they advertise you would think it was 5 star, but don't be fooled. This is nothing more than a cheap gym with a fancy name slapped onto it. I made the mistake of purchasing a membership and only went about 3 times. For about one third the cost I went to the LA Fitness down the street and go all the time - they have more activities for a better work out!
