We have been 3x and everything has been great! This is not a TexMex spot (not that anything is wrong with those). The torta bread and tortillas are on point and the chips are the way they should be.
The neighborhood is not for everyone. Beware. The actual restaurant is rustic and dark inside, decorated with skeletons all over the place. The food portions are astronomical. They will give you so much food, it makes you sick. The image of the food is not the best but the taste is not bad. The service is amazing and the server is as friendly as can be! I recommend sharing a plate. There’s no way one normal person can finish these portions.
Super flavorful! Stumbled on this place and was so good went back a few days later! The owner/manager is frequently at the front and super friendly. Def recommend the Kekas w/ marinated pork, Taququeso w/ beef and the Vampiro. All variations of fried flour or corn tortilla bursting with flavors. Must try! Recommendation: maybe add rice & beans to the menu to make a plate.
