food This is always a great place to go for a good food with a great atmosphere. The food is very unique, they offer mostly Italian dishes..but my favorite is the vintage pop that they offer.
Excellent for lunch or dinner or just drinks You can't go wrong with La Bottega in the "hippest" area of Vancouvers uptown neighborhood. I've been here for lunch, appetizers, and dinner and have never had a bad experience. I love the beer selection and my wife is a big fan of the wines. The food menu is simple but excellent. Great Itialian Restaurant La Bottega is a wonderful family run Italian restaurant in Uptown Village. They have wonderful soup, sandwiches and pasta for lunch. They also have a deli counter and great selection of wine. Good place to do some holiday shopping!
Fun place This is a gem in the relatively new uptown area of Vancouver. They serve great Itialian food with a speedy yet friendly service. For a small restaurant the wine list is also impressive.
Good Food - Slow Service I've been here a couple of times. The first time was just to buy a few bottles of wine from their retail wine section. I stood there for probably 15 minutes or so looking at all the bottles, but at no time did any of the employees ask if I needed help. The wine selection was okay and reasonably priced. I had to flag someone down to ring up my purchases. My husband had lunch there the other day and thought the food was great, so suggested we go together over the weekend. This is our first time here. It's a cute little place to have some coffee, lunch and talk with friends and or family. We ordered coffee and I had a Caesar salad with chicken. It was pretty good. My wife got the vodka penne pasta. I had a few bites and it was really flavorful and great. My mother in law had a salad too and I look over and her plate is wiped clean ha ha. She loved hers
Absolutely great place for Italian food. Service was exceptional. Do not miss this place if you are a lover of fine italian food. You will not regret it.
downtown's own – heard and read so many great reviews and was expecting more. potential is there. Caesar salad dressing-any anchovies??-a bit bland, but well dressed and presented; missing simple things like olive oil on table but without balsamic; what's with the whipped butter? partner liked lasagna but not memorable, not enough sausage in it .
