Would not recommend! I transferred here from a public mental health facility where violent behavior was very common and I was physically assaulted several times at that facility. I was given 0 empathy whatsoever by the staff and other patients at La Amistad. I basically just ended up enduring a month of psychological bullying by other patients and certain staff (including Mrs. Sharon & The Director Of The Adult Campus) till I was finally able to leave here. Corey and Becca are freaking awesome!!! They literally saved my life. By teaching and guiding me through meditation I had a spiritual awakening resulting in a change on my entire outlook on life. It is no longer dark to me....it is beautiful now! Thankyou Corey and Becca and La Amistad!!!!!!
The things I am learning here are life changing. I am so excited i came to this place. I am high maintenance and they are able to attend to all my needs. I want to give a special thanks to Corey for fully understanding me and helping me with coping skills. He is super super awesome!!!!!! I also want to thank Becca for being super super professional and kind even with her heavy work load it seem like she is the only one working there at times, because I have hopped out of group with Corey and seen what goes on.
I really enjoyed being at La Amistad ! It was exactly what I needed at the time and would recommend it to anyone. Becca and Corey are genuine and helpful and truly care about helping others. They made my stay there a lot easier. Thank you Corey / Becca.
My experience at La Amistad was life-changing. Even though it was only for 30 days , it was the most effective . All the BHT's treated me as a human not as one who struggled with addiction. When I needed to talk, all the staff would stop what they were doing and simply be there! My therapist Michael was the greatest. Thank you La Amistad for helping me create the foundation of me taking my freedom from addiction/shame. God bless you guys!
