Minisplits can be expensive. But you can save money if you shop. I met with all the easy to find installers why are they easy to find because they advertise and they have to cover that cost in their prices. I was ready to give up until I found L& J Heating and AC They have great prices, professional installation and are PSEG approved installers which means you can possibly get a rebate from PSEG like I did. I was having issues with my HVAC and had tried reaching out to various providers who quoted me high prices just to come to my house and and look at my system. Luckily I eventually got connected with L & J who were extremely knowledgeable and professional and were able to fix the issue with zero headaches. Couldn't recommend more.
I was recommended to use L&J from a friend of mine who is a contractor in the area. I used L&J to install two ductless systems on my second floor. I have central throughout the house but the single unit wasn’t enough to properly cool the second floor. The owner, Lou, said best course of action was to close lines to the second floor and install ductless units.
