Hands down the worst Mercy doc and clinic in Springfield! Smith is often unavailable for scheduled apointments and leave patient care to rude incompetent nurses, apointments run very late and customer service is terrible...a horrible reflection of Mercy Catholic Hospital! My last apt the nurse mis-diagnosed my foot problem & told me to just rub lotion on my foot...found out from another doc that I had a severely broken foot...totally incompetent!
I have seen a lot of changes, in this Office..Now when you see Dr. Smith, he has a Medical Scribe, to take notes. I do not know how anyone feels about this, I feel uncomfortable, feel my privacy is being compromised, Focus has shifted, to Medical Scribe..I do not how that helps his patients. On one note, appts running on time.
Dr. Smith never makes you feel rushed during your appointment. Easy to talk to and works with you to find the best solution.
Updated on 05/05/2017- I had an appointment with this dr last week. Per their sign on the office they were running on time. I got up and left 45 minutes after my appointment time. I figure if they didn't care to update their patient, be on time and provide some sort of service then they didn't qualify to be my provider. This is not a one time instance... It has been all 3 times I tried to see this dr. Then they had the nerve to send me a letter about missing my appointment and how it is imp
Dr. Smith always takes TIME with me, which makes me feel like he actually listens to my concerns-even the day he had an emergency and was over an hour behind. I never felt rushed! He makes sure that I am comfortable with and understanding of the plan of care before I leave for the day. He is also always clear as to when (if needed) I should follow up. I would most definitely recommend him to my closest friends and family.
