I took my car there to change the oil because my drain plug was stripped. I brought my own replacement plug, my own oil, and my own filter and they charged me 17$ extra for replacing the drain plug and it took them less than a minute!!! Then I find out that they stripped out the new one!!!
This is from a former 4 year customer of Kwik Kar Lufkin. Do NOT take your vehicle here. They do not stand behind their work. Took minivan in at the end of June for a "tune-up" and they broke one of the spark plugs off in the head. Had to take minivan to another repair shop that charged me $1300 for removing both heads and installing new gaskets. I have sent 2 letters to the owners and manager trying to get them to at least call and talk to me about the repairs, but to no avail. All I want is a fair resolution to this situat... read more
I had my oil and fuel filter change . The service man that change my fuel filter over tighten filter cracking fuel filters housing . I was out of state when it started leaking . I took my truck to a Chevrolet dealer they had to change out fuel filter housing the filter was so tight they had to remove it all together at a cost of $ 431.00 I went back to kwik kar as soon I was back in lufkin Texas the manager would not stand behind his work I have been going there for three years I guess $ 431.00 means more to them then years ... read more
