After years of my business I'm done! I went by yesterday for an oil change and inspection. Not one car in the bays! 3 different guys standing around telling me I had to come back today for another tech to help me. I had a check eng light on that needed a solenoid replaced and the ONLY guy that could do it was off. They didn't offer to change my oil and suggested I go to another mechanic next door. Just surprised how much they mark up their parts on an AC repair quote. Glad I checked into it first.
These guys are legit, they don't open till 9am but they saw me there at 850am and got my wife's car in right away, more businesses need to be like this!
As a inspector for the company for some time, we as inspector can only inspect the vehicle thats in for inspection in specified location in our facility that was regulated by the state of texas. At the time we go through process of inspecting the vehicle, which will include using a device to measure light transmission through the driver & passenger in front. If below state regulated numbers it fails. There's no way to just look at tint a say its good. This is a process we have to abide by. Sorry for the inconvenience
I went to get my truck inspected and they performed the inspection only to do the windows last and tell me i failed. Now tell me why the hell someone who inspects cars all day long couldn't tell me beforehand that i probably wasn't going to pass or as a courtesy check the windows first so he wouldn't have to charge me?
