I took my vehicle in for standard oil change and tire rotation. After leaving I noticed the vehicle had lost power. Thinking it was something warranty related I took it to the dealer and they found the box containing the air filter was not closed properly. I had to pay $109 for the diagnostic fee at the dealer because it was not covered under warranty. I took the bill to Kwik Kar to allow them a chance to prove they provide good customer service and they told me for warranty related issues I was to bring the vehicle to them.... read more

I have used this place for inspections and brake service before (took my own brakes though). I thought they were a reasonably priced service center UNTIL I needed my transmission fluid changed. I took MY OWN fluids and they charged me $100.00 for the labor!!!!! UNBELIEVABLE. I realize this is my fault because I did not ask what pricing was before I said ok to the service, but their claim to be less than the dealerships is FALSE. Kwik Kar is THE GREATEST!! I recently moved from the Northland to South KC. I was quickly approaching the date in which I needed to get my tags renewed on my car. I called Kwik Kar on a Monday morning and asked for an appointment that day as early as possible for an inspection and to get my tire patched. They were so nice and told me 10:30 was the earliest (while apologizing that there wasn't something sooner.) I was more than thrilled. Horrible service!! Charged $80 for an unnecessary diagnostic and the morons tried to charge over $300 to rig up my ignition to start with a Screw Driver!!
