This shop did a decent job on my hair but the service was not very good. They had 2 children in the shop that they keep having to redirect and a customer brought a child with her. This delayed the time I took to get my hair finished and overstimulated me so bad. The shop smell like weed when i first arrived and the noise from the next door shops were loud.
My daughter and I got our hair braided at Kwayah African Braiding Hair Salon the last week of August, and I couldn’t be more impressed. We came to Houston the last week of July for the Junior Olympics and needed a braider fast. After a quick Google search, Kwayah stood out with the best ratings and reviews, so I reached out. I took my 7-year old daughter to get cornrolls. I was scheduled for 3pm,and she started doing her hair at that time. My daughter is very tender headed but (Tima-Owner) was very patient with my daughter and also braids very quick! The price was also reasonable! Please make sure to tip your stylist if its to your capacity! 10/10
I was a walk in but I called before arriving because I wanted to know the price and what I am wanted done. I was quoted $40, perfect! I came within 30 min or so and immediately she said oh no it’ll be extra to blow out my hair. She said my hair was too thick to blow out. I was willing to pay the extra $20 she told me to blow it out.
