***DO NOT TRUST*** Payton Lawrence represented my husband and me regarding an escrow matter. We signed a contract with instructions on how to disperse the funds. Several months later, I discover that Payton has advised my husband privately about divorce. Payton has allowed himself to be manipulated into withholding those funds so my STBX can gain a more strategic position in divorce proceedings. When I filed an Idaho State Bar complaint, Payton dropped me as a client but did not drop my STBX. ***DO NOT TRUST***

Eventually the estate was settled. Do not expect any return from retainer, especially when they charge you to call them to remind them about deadlines that they should know. In my opinion they come across as small town and somewhat disorganized, chiding ME for jumping the gun as executor AFTER the fact rather than giving actual guidance, you know, the sort of thing you pay a lawyer for, legal advice.
