Apparent lack of on-hand medications, no scheduled therapy sessions over the weekends, non-responsive on-call therapists, no family therapy sessions, no proactive daily communication with parents, no perceivable treatment plans, and insanely long telephone hold times (90+ minutes). Visitors are not required to undergo any sort of security screening, which is a mixed blessing. Ultimately, our kid came home worse for the wear.
This place is a complete joke. The website and conversation was so promising in the beginning. The staff is clearly overworked and they were understaffed as well. Hours waiting for the phones to be answered. My child was there Friday morning to Monday afternoon. She saw a therapist ONCE for 15 minutes. All she did was color and do a few worksheets. If treatment and therapy involves neither treatment nor therapy - this is the place for you!
My child was actually served better at the Osawatomie State Hospital. She left that place regulated and able to cope and have a conversation. This place however…This place is a woke environment worried more about gender neutral bathrooms as opposed to actually helping patients being able to regulate themselves with proper medication. This place is so bad that it would have been better to leave my kid at home than get them more traumatized they would have 3 kids sleeping on mattresses on the floor Because they just keep Excepting new patients.
