In 1963 our business was established as a builder and fabricator of new and refurbished fire apparatus, specialty welding, and custom fabrications. Then in 1981 we initiated a new product line, fabricating and rebuilding stainless steel dairy tanks and trailers. In 1992 declining demand, due to fewer dairy farmers, resulted in poor annual sales. Over the past few years I have had a couple minor problems with my Knapheide service body. Kurtz is a Knapheide dealer so we stopped in to ask a question or two. We did not purchase this vehicle or service body from Kurtz but they were very helpful and actually got a guy to adjust the rear doors on our first visit. That was years ago. But just the other day, I had latch problems and they looked at it right away with out an appt. I just showed up.
