The Kundert Medical Clinic is a wonderful little stop for anyone interested in Frank Lloyd Wright architecture. The building is beautifully maintained, and the exterior still has the unmistakable horizontal lines, low profile, brickwork, and integrated landscaping that make Wright’s work so distinctive. The grounds are easy to access, so you can get a very good look at the building from outside and appreciate how carefully the architecture relates to the surrounding garden. FLW gem. We visited on a Saturday morning and Dr. Twaywas there and invited us to come inside. He was extremely nice and we’ll be forever grateful.
Very cool Frank Lloyd Wright building. Hidden gem in SLO! The cool stuff faces the parking lot in typical Wright Usonian fashion catering to the automobile. A drive-by won't do the building justice so be sure to walk down Pacific to get a better view.
