I cannot speak highly enough of teacher Deana and the Kumon Center in Bala Cynwyd. Through personal attention and an exceptional gift for breaking down & explaining new math concepts, Deana has made a special connection to my children and facilitated their academic growth. As only a great teacher can, she renders the structured Kumon curriculum very accessible and the students’ weekly goals become attainable. The Kumon Center in Bala Cynwyd exceeds all expectation and my family is lucky to be a part of it.

My son and daughter have been at Kumon for 2 years and we couldn’t be happier! Deana runs the Kumon we attend and she has helped my kids get ahead in math and reading and stay there. She is an excellent instructor and truly believes in the mission kumon stands for. She has personal experience with the program as she used it for both her own children, and that shows in the quality work she does with my children. Ms Deana, who runs this location, is wonderful, supporting, friendly and very encouraging. She knows when to push and when to relax. She really gets to know each kid and what their strengths and weaknesses, while listening to the parents goals.

I absolutely love this place. My child struggled with math and reading. My friend told me what Kumon has done for her son who is now in college so I took her advice. Immediately I watched my child gain confidence and is now one of the strongest readers in her class. Ms Deana always communicates with me and lets me know how my child is doing. I love the energy there and the patience they have as I witnessed my child have a completely didn’t attitude when it comes to their academics.

I highly recommend Kumon at Bala Cynwyd for providing a place for my 6 year old to learn the basics and foundation for both math and reading, especially writing. The worksheets handouts are highly important for my daughter to gain confidence in herself in tackling the subjects at her own pace. Also the early intervention one starts will pay dividends down the road. The best investment one can do for their child. Thank you.
