I am forever thankful to Dr. Kuchenbecker, because he saved my life in the 1990s when I was only in my 40s. I had a hysterectomy by another doctor at another hospital and it went bad. I ended up with peritonitis and massive infection. I was in the hospital for over three months. During that time, Dr. Kuchenbecker, performed multiple surgeries on me that ultimately saved my life. I am now 74 and grateful to him every day.

Dr. Kuchenbecker is a brilliant surgeon & kind person. He literally worked miracles on me! To be pain free is such a gift. He is the best! His bedside manner & patience is impressive. I went to seek a third opinion from Dr. Kuchenbecker for years of ongoing pain. It was his down to earth attitude & warm smile that won me over. His resume is through the roof! Go see this Dr. ASAP!
Extremely knowledgeable and experienced. Very good at explaining medical concepts to patients. Takes the time to be sure that the patient understands the options and the pros and cons of each before making a treatment decision. Highly recommend
Excellent Doctor. Great job of explaining diagnoses, treatment and after-care. Office staff is top-notch. Appointments are timely with little to no wait. Highly recommended.
I have no doubt he is a great cutter. However, he has no postoperative procedure at all. No post op nurse or anyone will call you. I'm on week five of pain with no end in sight. He just doesn't care what happens after the surgery. Find a different surgeon and make sure they have a postop procedure that will actually help. I just feel abandoned to the point where I'm seeing over doctors bc I have no faith in his ability to help me in my recovery. Very very disappointing.
Unfortunately, I just had surgery to repair Dr. Kuchenbecker's work. He conducts an 'old school' style of hernia repair. Open style, sure, however he installed mesh that did not totally cover my hernia. In addition, his 'ancient style' of repair did not include actually sewing the hernia closed. So, of course, only months later, I needed Laparoscopic surgery to pull out his mesh that had bunched up and re-do the whole thing. The lesson here is that you always want the latest version of surgery.
