The food here is overall amazing, with one major exception: the chicken. It consistently tastes like it was cooked in large batches, frozen, then reheated in small portions and microwaved too long. The result is tough, dry chicken with that distinct over-microwaved texture and flavor. The meat isn't spoiled or unsafe, but it noticeably detracts from what would otherwise be an excellent dish. Krua Thai is our go-to for Thai fried rice. The food is consistently good and the service has been reliably great over our visits. It's worth noting we drive across town from the east side just for their food. Recommended for anyone who enjoys authentic Thai cooking or is looking for fried rice that hits the spot.
The food was delicious. We ordered the gyoza (appetizer) and my husband had drunken noodles with chicken and I had chicken lo mein. I ordered mine mild and there was no heat. I would have enjoyed some mild heat but I err on the side of caution when trying new places.
Nice place, good food and service. A hidden gem, try it.
