I met with Dr. Kroencke who immediately scheduled me to return for ingrown toenail surgery. When I asked about the lump on the left of my big toe she didn't feel concerned. I returned for the surgery - rescheduling clients- and she numbed the toe then looked at it and asked if she had Xrayed the toe before. I'm usually loathe to leave negative reviews for medical professionals, but I'm truly disappointed in Dr. Koencke. I went to see her for pain in my ankle and in my toe (unrelated). She did a cursory exam (just looked at my foot) and then said there was nothing she could do, and tat I should just stop wearing boots or doing anything that caused pain. That was her long-term solution. She had no diagnosis for the problem, just announced that I just had to deal with it.
Dr. Kroencke is knowledgeable and efficient. I have gone to her for several different foot ailments.
She wasn't able to call up x-rays from a former visit to see if there had been improvement in bone growth. Seems to me that that is a basic diagnostic technique. I would have been embarrassed to reveal that to a patient.
