Shelton and Randall saved the day by auguring out the unreachable clog in my vacuum hose! I went in 5 minutes before they closed asking for a particular tool, but they sorted out what actually needed done; being thorough even as closing time came and went. I was able to walk away with the vacuum hose, and, the offending sock! Thanks again! four stars, maybe three. great store. genuinely good store. if you need it they have it and the staff usually know where it is, which already puts them ahead of half the competition. but there's a look. you know the look. the one that starts at your boots and makes a slow editorial decision on the way up. if you work with your hands, work outside, work in the kind of conditions that follow you home in your pores, you will receive the look. doesn't matter that you're there because you actually need a 3/8 fitting and you know ... read more

Has a bit of a disaster with a big ticket item (Snowblower) - basically my rear window was shattered during loading. The management took ownership, got their insurance team to help with getting the glass replaced and did so without any cost to me. In this day and age, owning mistakes is becoming all too rare. Ace Hardware earned a ton of my loyalty by doing right on this mishap. This place also has specialty fasteners (fine pitch, metric and stainless steel) that no one else in town carries!
