I have been a patient of Dr Thurston's for 5 years. Just recently, I was referred to her by my IBD specialist as my J-Pouch had failed and was no longer working. She answered all of my questions about my upcoming surgery and she made sure I was scheduled for surgery a short 3 weeks later. Very professional and informative yet understanding and compassionate . The discussion was frank and understandable but in easy to understand language. I did not feel like I was talked down to. Any questions were answered and her staff is top rate. My husband and I were comfortable talking with her. I highly recommend her.
The BEST colorectal surgeon! Dr. Thurston is thorough and patient. She takes time to listen to the patient's concerns, and does not just limit her focus to one area of concern. She communicates information to other healthcare providers in order to facilitate necessary care from other specialist. Her follow-up and follow through are exceptional.
