I really hate leaving this review as Dr. Van Winkle herself has always been the best PCP I have seen but unfortunately her nurses have been really difficult to communicate with. The staff specifically has been giving me so much pushback on filling my prescription for my mental health medication for the last few months. I love Community
Genuinely the best PCP I have ever seen. I have felt so heard every time I have left her office or ended a video appt. She is very big on mental health while also balancing that with physical health. I never feel judged or silly with any of my concerns nor do I leave feeling like I didn’t get any answers or next steps. If you can’t get into her, her NPs are also good! I live 30 min away now but make the drive because I can’t imagine seeing anyone else:)
I think she's a keeper. She listens, isn't pushy or condescending & FOLLOWS THRU ON THINGS! Wow! How often does that happen? Update 8/21/23: Today I had to see the nurse practitioner. My BP was WAY HIGH. I wasn't surprised because when I get really po'd it sky rockets & I was definitely po'd but we won't go into that. Of course when I tried to tell her that &explained I had just seen my cardiologist & he was fine with my BP I could tell she didn't believe me & of course that only made me madder.
