Dr. Marchand was my PC for several years and she was awesome. She is an experienced, well educated, intelligent physician. She is now specializing in Palliative Care so no longer my physician. I miss her.
I saw Dr. Marchand for years. She was never very compassionate and always seemed to busy to be bothered "with my stupid issue". She was irritated when I moved my young child's care away from their office but I did so because the medical assistants are a revolving door and I couldn't trust them with vaccines and such. She also told me that my excess body fat was like the "blurbber of a seal" when I was 4 months postpartum with my second child and experiencing severe hot flashes! ??????
I have been going to Dr. Marchand for a couple years now, and am surprised to see the negative reviews. Every time I go in, the staff and Dr are nothing but kind! She explains conditions/procedures in such a clear, straightforward manner and always answers my questions + concerns. She spends at least 30 mins (usually more) with me and is great! I chose her because I was looking for a dr. that specializes in women's health and she fit the bill!! 10/10 would recommend
If your looking for a compassionate doctor this is not the one for you. Made me feel like my condition was not serious and spoke a mile a minute didn't really let me talk or ask questions made me feel quilty for having poor health ,very cold.
Horrible experience. I have found a new primary care physician. Dr. Marchand was pompous, condescending, uncaring, and rude. Unbelievable. I had a wonderful primary care physician for 17 years, but because she left Providence, I could no longer see her. I chose Dr. Marchand based on (Providence) reviews which in hindsight was not a wise decision because Dr. Marchand is a Providence provider. AFTER seeing Dr. Marchand, I read other reviews of her. Many others shared my same experience.
