I scheduled my appointment with Dr Wheeler almost two months ago. I have not actually had an appointment with Dr Wheeler, the day before my very first new patient/well woman's visit the Dr's office cancelled it. They did offer an appointment next week with the nurse practitioner. However for my very first visit to a Dr, I would like to see said Dr that I made my appointment with, I do not want to see a nurse practitioner. I was a new patient of Dr. Wheeler's in late summer 2020. She was great. Meeting a doctor for the first time when she is partially hidden by a mask would seem to create a barrier but her personality shined through. She took time to get to know me, my past, my concerns before beginning the exam. She explained how and why the procedures were being done and was very conversational in addressing any questions.
