I was scheduled to have a double mastectomy with her on that was postponed because she went on an unexplained four month leave and the new date was then cancelled a little over twelve hours before the surgery without any warning or explanation. I was never given an apology by her or her staff and it truly feels like she does not care about the impact this has had on her patients. The absolute lack of consideration to patient needs and lack of any explanation or planning is truly horrendous. I know that many patients have had... read more
I had an initial consult with Dr. Skinner for a double mastectomy 7 months ago, followed by an unexpected leave from the practice for 4 months. Dr. Skinner is a wonderful doctor. I had surgery a year ago with no complications. I was scared to death, but she was honest and very caring about my condition. She explained everything in detail which made my decision that must easier. Fortunately, I had not complications and everything went as she said. I would highly recommend her.
She is both compassionate and smart. She’s also decisive, but explains clearly why she is made the decision and welcomes your input. My case was out of the ordinary and she was willing and I afraid to take an out of the ordinary approach.
