This was the worst experience I’ve ever had with a doctor. She was supposed to remove my stye, and was extremely dismissive throughout that unnecessarily long process. She was over 45 minutes late to the first appointment. After the surgery I was having awful scary symptoms and called the line. She said everything was “normal” and rushed me off the phone. Dr. Patel is an artist. I consulted with several oculoplastic surgeons before choosing her as my provider. I had thyroid eye disease with severe eyelid retraction and fat composites behind both eyes...Looked like lumps under my Eyebrows. Dr. Patel removed the excess fat. I look like my normal self again! Not only that, her bedside manner was incredible... she is the best. If you are self conscious about your eyelids for any reason, first, youre beautiful, and second, Dr. Patel is who you should see.

I saw Dr Patel in March/April 2022 for consultation on my blepharitis and MGD. She advised that I schedule surgery to remove a chalazion in my left eyelid, which I believed at the time would improve my overall blepharitis. She did successfully remove the chalazion, though I will note that I struggled through the procedure and was not made aware until later that sedatives can be offered to calm a patient down during the procedure, which I very much would have appreciated knowing beforehand.
