It’s almost been a year since my midwife tried to force me to get tubal litigation immediately after I gave birth. She just came back from a mission trip, started her shift, and helped me deliver my placenta after a different, wonderful woman already delivered my baby. The second midwife tried to pressure me into tubal litigation, asking me why I want three kids and all kinds of weird questions. This was never part of my birth plan.
I liked my ob., but I would never give birth here again. I had severe ptsd with my last birth, so i constantly voiced my concerns. I had a postpartum nurse just walk in and watch the ob stitch me up after I clearly stated I wanted no one except the ob, l&d nurse, and baby nurse in the room. That same postpartum nurse would hunch over your shoulder and watch you nurse your baby, every single time for the entire time! Our night nurses were amazing. Unfortunately the nurse who discharged us was rude and stingy about grabbing formula for us. Would only bring 2 bottles at a time. When it was time to leave my husband forgot her car seat over so we used the hospital baby receiving blanket. Our nurse said we weren’t allowed to take it. It a was raining and cold outside. We had our first child at Aurora and our experience was a lot better our nurses gave us plenty to take. Bellin couldn’t even spare a tiny old blanket for our baby. Ridiculous.
Birth is a hard thing for anyone to go through. I really enjoyed my whole birth experience. They read my birth preferences and took them seriously, offering all the support they could to help me achieve my goals in a realistic way! The staff were all wonderful and so kind and accommodating, always asking if I needed anything. The food from the cafeteria was great, and even the people on the other end of the phone taking the orders really seemed like they cared!
