Details were very well explained. Options were given clearly with pros and cons. Doctor took time to explain things in terms of what was going on inside and what needs to be done. Surgery was smooth and post op notes was well documented in the hospital portal for me to know what happened during the surgery and the observations

Dr. Achanta offers LINX ®, a new laparoscopic procedure to treat GERD. This procedure involves a string of metal beads that are drawn together by a magnet. When this string is placed around the lower esophagus, the magnet pulls the beads together and closes off the esophagus from the stomach.
Dr. Achanta was a God sent for my 86 year old mother-in-law. She had to have her gallbladder removed and Dr. Achanta was very courteous and personally came and explained the procedure to her and assured her that he and his team will take good care of her. I met Dr. Achanta in 1994 at Baystate Medical in Springfield MA.. My daughter, a medical school student, had been hit by a car when she was crossing the street on December 23. Dr Achanta made himself available to me at all hours and guided and supported me through the worst period our lives (mine and my husband). He was my Angel and Wiseman. I still think of him often and thank the Lord for this amazing professional and caring person who left a lasting imprint on our lives. God Bless him.
I found Dr. Achanta to be an excellent surgeon. He took time to explain procedures thoroughly and was kind and courteous. I have to have follow-up surgery in 6 months and he told us two of the best hospitals to go to for the procedure I will be having. Both my husband and I are extremely confident in Dr. Achanta's abilities, so I will be returning to him instead of going elsewhere. I would highly recommend him to others.
