I grew up eating Kow Kow on Devon Ave. I used to eat there with my mom and sister. On Saturdays my two cousins Myra and Bonnie used to eat lunch there. My last time in Chicago a couple of weeks ago I ordered the egg rolls and savored each bite.
We had so many parties there. I grew up with KOW KOW. When I come in from Vegas I always go an eat there and take food home with me. I want to cry. Mr. Moy always gave my daughter a package of almond cookies on our way out. Egg Rolls and Hung Su Chicken will never be the same. No one has the recipe.

The seaweed soup is really good; lots of pea pods, water chestnuts, mushrooms, seaweed, & shitake mushrooms. Theirs is the best & we've tried it at several restaurants. Also, they have the best eggrolls in the Chicagoland area!
Do not eat at this place! I repeat DO NOT eat at this place! I live extremely near by and after what I seen they should be shut down! Horrible! If you've never tried it don't, and if you've been a customer of this hateful rude disgusting establishment I suggest you don't go back. It's funny after how disgustingly dirty the cooks out back are that are constantly outside smoking completely filthy and I'm gonna stop there cause it's just gross, they should have a friendly kind staff to cover all that up...but there the most ign... read more
