Kotetsu Chaya is such a wonderful restaurant! We loved the ginger pork and chicken kaarage. I’d recommend this spot to anyone who’d like to visit Oahu and try authentic Japanese food!
I was surprised that this business is only a few years old, it has so much character! I think the menu is awesome. I tried their lunch special today, chicken katsu and karaage. I love their karaage, reminds me of my mom's delicious cooking. The friendly staff provided me with a small katsu sauce bottle to use. I needed some food for later, so I ordered Hokkaido curry to go 😁 They do ramen and many noodle dishes as well. The space is bright, families or solo diners can feel comfortable. Tried the ginger pork bento, fantastic! Cool little restaurant, wish I had more time to come back and try more things on the menu.
Exceptional Karaage Bento. Appx $20 after tax and tip for a medium/standard sized portion. Good portions and good value. My friend had the tonkatsu ramen and really enjoyed it as well.
I ordered the oyster bento plate and the food was fresh and hot. Oysters cooked to perfection and mama was had a warm hospitality I’ll be back again ty
