My experience was no satisfactory.
Absolutely terrible. Some here may say he's kind, but personally I found him somewhat naive and ill informed. I regret that there is no option for zero stars.
My experience of Dr. Kornhaber over 20 years is positive. I am a fragile person who has PTSD from computer programming work in multinational corporations. Dr. Kornhaber has helped me. He has not told me to shape up and be normal. He has confirmed for me that antidepressants are not the solution when a person has genuinely depressing life circumstances. Dr. Kornhaber has been treating my children for years. He is the only psychiatrist that has provided any help. Without a doubt, the best psychiatrist in Westchester and the only doctor I would trust to treat my children.
Dangerous. The worst instance in my experience in seeking help from a professional. Totally naive in dealing with sexual issues. Used the word "effeminate" to describe a sensitive man like me, when that does not relate to me at all. He left me scarred until I found appropriate, cogent help.
Dr. Kornhaber is very kind and caring. I trust him completely to provide psychiatric care for me and my children.

I can't say anything about Dr. Kornhaber because I never got in to see him. After several calls into the call service and one abrupt conversation with someone from his office, I gave up and went elsewhere. It should not be this difficult just to speak to someone from the doctor's office about whether you can get an appointment. I can't wait a week to make an appointment with a doctor that supposedly has a 6 week wait to see him. Ridiculous.
