I have been seeing Dr. Korn for a long time. Not only has he taken excellent care of me, but he has taken excellent care of my family members. He has gone above and beyond in our times of need. Being a psychiatrist has got to be one of the toughest jobs on earth but Dr. Korn handles himself with grace and professionalism. He has always been there for me and my family — that has meant so much.
I have been seeing Dr. Korn for over 5 years both in-person and virtually. Dr. Korn is insightful, caring, and adept at exploring necessary topics and treatment options. I highly recommend his expertise.
Dr. Korn and Donna are an exceptional team. Dr. Korn is a tireless advocate for his patients. He is a rare find in modern medicine. He is knowledgeable, has excellent judgment and non-judgmental.
Late to tele-health appointments. Quick to charge, not so quick to help you. Arrogant, egotistical, cares more about telling his story than listening to yours.
My older brother had him when we were children growing up. I remember one family visit where he called my father and brother fat, also constantly talked down to and belittled him. I wouldn’t recommend this man around anyone. Especially those struggling with mental health
Korn is the sweetest man, but he is not a great doctor. After 10 minutes of talking to me, after telling him I may have bipolar or some other deeper form of mood disorder (as suspected by my therapist of one year), he dismissed it and diagnosed me with social anxiety and depression and put me on antidepressants. After one month of being on them, my mental state deteriorated, sending me to the ER. Although he cares about your life, he will forget facts regularly, like what I am up to during the summer which I had to repeat ea... read more
Dr Korn has helped me tremendously! He is a good listener and I can tell he cares about my concerns and issues. He gives me real world examples when trying to guide me to an example or conclusion. He is obviously able to retire because of his years of experience but stays in his line of work because he enjoys helping people. Lastly he doesn't sugar coat anything and tells me things that are sometimes difficult to hear but ultimately turns out to be a benefit to me. ....... I feel lucky to have him as my therapist.
I first saw Dr. Korn in the Behavioral Health Unit (BHU) of Portsmouth Hospital in 2013. After losing my present psychiatrist, I called to continue seeing Dr. Korn from where I left off. HE REFUSED ME because he "didn't like taking patients from the BHU". WHAT??? Am I not good enough? Why was he even there treating me back then?? He also said that I should "go to a place where I can see a psychiatrist/therapist in the same office, so I should go back to ***", my old psychiatrist I just lost!!
We have been with Dr Korn for several years and are pleased with his service. I have recommended Dr Korn and still do! Dr Korn takes care of each patient - sometimes the wait is longer as he focuses on the needs of who he is seeing not who is waiting. How to change that - don't think I would as it really shows he cares!!!
