This place is really messed up. My son got braces from them we had to pay $850 up front... then the doctor up and left with no notice. Now I have to find a new doctor that's charging me $1,200 to complete the job Because a lot of his teeth that supposed to have braces does not and the ones that does have braces on them are crooked so they have to be removed. This place is the worst! After 10 months of braces and thousands of dollars wasted I was told dr.baptise was leaving with barely any notice and to find another orthodontist for my son. After finally finding another doctor, had to restart treatment and repay for the entire treatment from the beginning since brackets put on crooked, wrong wire, never pulled two baby teeth etc. after months of arguing with kool smiles to get reimbursed something back, was told they would give $2000 back within 90 days, after signing a contract,... read more

Was happy with the service. Especially because of my insurance. One very few places that accepted it out side of NYC since that's where I work. My daughter was two visits away from being done when I receive a phone call in May before her June appointment, stating he left the practice. I had to find someone in a pinch so that my daughter could have her braces off in time for her senior pictures this month (Aug) and now I'm out another $1500 dollars to pay another Dr to complete my daughters treatment. Not very happy.
It is my understanding that the sole orthodontist at this practice recently quit with no written or advance notice to his patients, whom are currently in the midst of their orthodontic treatments, ie; braces. As many of you parents may know, once one orthodontist completes the braces install, another orthodontist at another practice is extremely reluctant to complete the work.
