Though Koniag is a Corporation it has always tried to represent our culture and worked to give Shareholders a sense of community. I'm sad for those who for whatever reason are unable to attend any meetings (whether for voting, discussion, learning, fun picnics or Winter parties) as that is where community is blooming. Me and my two sons inherited their mothers stock when she passed away. My oldest son is eligible to vote because he was born in 1971. When relatives inherit stock you are a shareholder even if you are not a native. A shareholder is a shareholder and should have all the rights of the original owner.
