Everything is very walkable, great location
Limited parking, need permit, but hard to catch a spot after 8pm.
I stayed with my roommate at Unit 136 of Kona Islander Inn, hosted by Gayle Mackey, from July 28 to August 7, 2025. This was one of the worst condo rental experiences we’ve ever had. From the very first night, multiple cockroaches appeared every day, in the bathroom, kitchen, and even near the bed area. We immediately informed the on-island contact, Ellen, but she only said there was spray in the closet and never came to treat the unit herself. The spray didn’t work.
