1st time purchasing a meat package here and it was a pleasure! Pleasant folks they are, husband and wife team so you know your talking to the owners. Delicious and as they promised. Reasonable and professional delivering a local product. After we received our package we went home, placed in the freezer minus 1 package or sirloin steak 250° in the oven for 30 minutes and 135° probed and pulled it out and put a fork to it, no knife ...... Horrible people. She hung up the phone after saying, "we don't take goat, at all, bye". Very unfriendly!
The cow elk we got back from this place was horrible. We got a 1/4 of the meat that we should have and the quality of the processing was the worst I’d ever seen! Very disappointing!
My husband brought in a whole mature cow elk, and we were expecting at least 50% of meat back from a 188lb. carcass. Only ended up with 60lbs which is under 32%. Called to ask if there was any meat left behind and was told this was normal. Anyone with experience working with other processors or doing the work themselves will know differently. If you want to overpay and give away your meat this is the processor for you.
Brought my deer in and wanted steaks I only got 4 steaks and the rest of the deer was made into burger not thrilled
