Jen B. is a fantastic group leader and individual therapist. Her ability to validate and challenge @ the same time is exactly what I need. My group is made up of an amazingly honest group of individuals. I honestly cannot think of anything I would change. My experience has been wonderful.
This was my first outpatient experience and I am grateful that I got a Kolmac referral during a brief inpatient hospital admission for alcohol abuse. I have learned a great deal about addiction and understanding the relapse sequence. The format of the therapy sessions was supportive of my needs in continuing my journey in sobriety. Acupuncture was a definite plus and allowed for time to self-reflect on prior group discussions. Thanks to all who have helped me learn about addiction, denial and being honest with myself.
The phony reviews below demonstrate the lengths that Kolmac will go to to mislead the public . Asa former patient, I can confirm the dishonesty of their staff. They do not care about their patients success, only their money. Be wise and stay away!
I feel my counselors had my best interest at heart. They made me look more closely at my addiction and the heart of the problem.
Excellent clinical staff who combine competence and compassion in a very genuine way. They are the antithesis of "corporate medicine" and this is all achieved without going over boundaries.
The entire program (IOP, continuing care plus promoting Smart Recovery, AA, etc.) gives the newly sober a very strong foundation and tools to move forward with a better life.
Kolmac was the best decision I ever made! Staff is kind, knowledgeable, courteous and dedicated. My family and I appreciate the time and care the therapists at Kolmac have given me.
The Kolmac Clinic provided me the structure, counseling,and fellow patient support I needed to make a clean break (thus far) with drug and alcohol abuse.
