Kokomochi Hibachi Express & Sushi is an absolute gem in Kokomo and such a great spot to have so close to home. My husband picked it for his birthday dinner, and the entire experience was fantastic from start to finish. We started with the Tempura appetizer, which was wonderfully light, crispy, and delicious. Beautiful little sushi place, quiet and friendly environment with great food and even better service!
I was traveling through the area and had a craving for hibachi and wow, did this place deliver! Kokomochi is a hidden gem, the food is great, the staff is friendly, and the location is clean, all while not costing an arm and a leg! While the hibachi was excellent, you have to try the crab rangoon roll! While I did not see traditional crab rangoons on the menu, if you enjoy crab rangoons and sushi, this is a dish made in heaven! It was good....the yakisoba noodles felt more like Ramen noodles more than yakisoba. Some of the shrimps in my shrimp yakisoba werent fully de-veined and were way overcooked and chewy. I had to eat around the poo. The sushi was pretty awesome and the house salad had too much of a ginger taste more over a sweet mayo like some other resturaunts but very very similar to its competitors like Taku.
